What to Expect from a Sampad Picnic

This Summer, Sampad will be hosting a series of Summer picnics. If you’ve ever wondered what happens at these fun-filled days, Sampad employee of the year, James, is here to tell you more.

“A Sampad picnic is a great way to spend the day, especially if you have kids”

This year, two of our picnics are celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee. There will be activities designed for young people, including flower crown making and dance workshops (which the adults are more than welcome to join too!) All of the activities are free, meaning no one will feel left out.

“They’re always in the best settings”

This year, two of our picnics are happening with Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust, in two of their sites, Centre of the Earth in Winson Green and their brand new Eco Park in Small Heath. In the middle of the city, these hidden oasis’ of wildlife are the perfect spots for a picnic. Our third picnic location is yet to be announced, but rest assured, the venue is idyllic!

“There’s always brilliant entertainment”

As we’ve mentioned above, if you bring the picnic, we’ll provide the entertainment. From pond dipping to tours of the sites, we make sure you and the family will be thoroughly entertained throughout the day.

“You may even learn something!”

We want you to have fun, but we also want you to learn something. Whether that’s discovering a new flower or listening to a story you’ve never been told before, there is always something to learned at a Sampad picnic.

“There are usually some surprises”

We can’t give TOO much away…you’ll have to come and see for yourself.

Sampad picnics are happening across Summer 2022. Details of the Jubilee picnics can be found here. Check back for details of our third picnic are soon to be announced.
