Sampad has received funding from the Foyle Foundation and we are really excited about the difference it will make to our education work. We have already begun recruitment for a new, part-time Learning Officer role to increase the capacity of our in-house Education team to assist the Learning Manager. The new member of the team will help in the delivery of our brand new Sampad Associate Schools scheme, a programme designed to inspire creativity and give teachers the tools to celebrate and explore South Asian culture across the curriculum.
We know from our work with schools that there is both a need and a willingness to enable their students to access high quality South Asian Arts as participants, audiences and future professionals. Through our Sampad Associate Schools scheme we are also aiming for the students’ experiences to diversify audiences that engage with the arts more widely across the city.
