Sampad and Birmingham Royal Ballet Team Up For Choreo-lab Residency

Birmingham Royal Ballet and Sampad South Asian Arts & Heritage celebrate their joint 30th Anniversary with a world-class choreo-lab residency.

Two critically acclaimed dancers, from two very different disciplines, will come together to share practice and explore each other’s dance languages.

Bharatanatyam dancer and Akram Khan Company Rehearsal Director, Mavin Khoo, and first soloist with Birmingham Royal Ballet, Kit Holder will spend one week in a Birmingham Royal Ballet Studio working on new choreography with a performance sharing at the end of the residency.

Residency dates: Monday 29 June – Thursday 2 July 2020.
Invited Sharing date: Friday 3 July 2020.
