For the first Mid-day Mantra of 2022 we are delighted to present Indian vocalist, Priti Kaur.

With the ability to sing a variety of genres with ease, including Bollywood, soulful, pop music, ghazals, Sufi, bhangra music, Gurbani Sangeet and bhajans, Priti has the skill to effortlessly adapt to the style and feel of songs from any genre. Having grown up in India, with multicultural influences around her, Priti loves to sing in many different languages.

Her journey in singing started at the Mumbai Doordarshan as a child artist, recording several jingles and religious songs, winning numerous Zonal, State and National level singing competitions during her academic years. Not only an incredible musician, she has also completed a Masters in Environmental Science with distinction.

Winner of the prestigious singing competition Sa Re Ga Ma Punjabi, Priti has sung for The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and in numerous prestigious venues like Symphony Hall, Cadogan Hall, Beck Theatre, Logan Hall, Watermans theatre, Harrow Arts Centre, Bushey Academy and the University of Birmingham. Recently, Priti performed playback singing for the Punjabi movie Waris shah recorded in Mumbai, and recently sang for renowned Music composer Kuljit Bhamra in his Album Essence of Raga Tala.

For this Mid-day Mantra performance Priti will be joined by Mukhesh Kannan (keyboard) and Amar Sarl (Percussions).

Mid-day Mantra concerts take place in Symphony Hall’s brand-new The Jennifer Blackwell Performance Space. The concerts are free but you must book a ticket to attend at www.BMusic.co.uk
