Do you enjoy using your imagination to create stories?  Do you like history and learning about people who have moved to Birmingham? Do you love working with other young people to create something special?

Join our ‘Journeys to Birmingham’ Summer School, perfect for young people aged 7 – 12.

Created and led by Sampad South Asian Arts and Heritage and taking inspiration from the highly successful ‘From City of Empire to City of Diversity’ exhibition, this summer school will delve into the history of Birmingham and use stories from its diverse residents to look at how Birmingham has changed from a City of Empire to a City of Diversity. Using performance, children will explore themes of migration, identity and belonging and at the end of the summer school, the children will be invited to share what they’ve found with their parents or carers.

From the 21st – 24th August (10am-3pm).

Cost: £50 /£75 for 2 siblings
