"We all have journeys inside us, just as we all have poetry inside us. It's linking the two and making them flow out in an original shape that's dificult."
Chris Morgan, Poet Laureate, Birmingham, UK
"Journeys...writing from the heart is to let your thoughts, memories and imagination travel through words. It is an opportunity for you to tell us how you observe the world, people, nature, your own senses and feelings. To tell us where a real journey might have taken you to, how it has changed your life, or where your heart and imagination is telling you to go. This competition wants to bring together writers of all ages and backgrounds from cities, towns, schools and groups from across the world. We hope you will be one of them and hopefully you will be selected by our panel to be published at the end of the competition.
We will look forward to receiving your writing and hope it will be an enjoyable and meaningful experience for you to be part of Journeys...writing from the heart".
With all good wishes
Piali Ray OBE, Director of sampad
