Our mission

sampad is a dynamic development agency for South Asian Arts based in Birmingham. It plays a significant role regionally, nationally and beyond, in promoting the appreciation and practice of the diverse artforms originating from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Through its work sampad serves, supports and initiates South Asian Arts in all its forms working with youth, community, education and professional artists.

sampad and Birmingham Hippodrome are the new Arts Champions for the Edgbaston constituency covering Edgbaston, Bartley Green, Quinton and Harborne.

Over the next year we’ll be providing lots of opportunities for local residents to roll up their sleeves and get creative.

Our first Arts Champions project – E.A.T (Edgbaston Arts Table) – is offering all kinds of fun arts & crafts activities for the family, inspired by the theme of food.

Arts Champions

As Arts Champions for Edgbaston with Birmingham Hippodrome, supported by Birmingham City Council we will aim to:

  • Provide opportunities for those living in these wards to participate in high quality ares activities in local neighbourhoods delivered by professional artists
  • Establish community links with various organisations and create opportunities for Edgbaston Arts Forum
  • Empower the families of the Edgbaston Constituency through arts activities
