Sukuma, which means ‘stand up’ in Zulu language.
Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, the company has toured extensively throughout the world. Their striking, high-energy performances combine the strong physicality of African dance with the grace of classical Indian Bharatanatyam, incorporating colourful Afro-fusion and contemporary styles into the mix for an exhilarating dance experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages!
