Mahatma Gandhi is a towering figure in history, whose philosophy of non-violence, passion for equality and socio-political intelligence continues to be an inspiration for many people. Come and experience readings, in various Library locations, of some of the winning entries from Sampad’s Inspired by Gandhi international writing competition, which invited writers aged 8 to respond to and reflect on Gandhi’s life, philosophy and vision.

Please meet in the foyer at the Library of Birmingham. The Library is open until 7pm on that day.

Approximate timings for the performances are:
5.15pm — 5.45pm
6.00pm — 6.30pm

Birmingham Literature Festival takes place 8-17 October 2015. For details of the full programme, please visit www.birminghamliteraturefestival.org
